About Caroline O’Callaghan
Abstract painter Caroline O’Callaghan has always had a passion for the world of art and design.
After studying colors and painting at the New York School of Interior Design (NYSID), she started her career at House Beautiful magazine.
She further expanded her design education through her experience working at a boutique interior design firm on Madison Avenue in New York City.
A lifetime and passion for exploring and researching the art process is the drive behind Caroline O’Callaghan’s artwork. Architectural and design elements, as well as the subtle images and colors in nature, all translate into her art. The creativity of abstracts and how paint naturally takes to the paper or canvas helps direct her work.
O’Callaghan continually explores art and design elements in studio and by studying the works of masters in art history. She is an intuitive painter, loving abstracts for their free nature and the many directions it can take an art piece. Her work is sold by galleries and designers in New York and Connecticut as well as interior design firms. She also works on commissions year-round that offer more personalized art.
“Painting and design have been a creative thread throughout my life. A love of design, architecture and the subtle colors and images in nature, all translate into the palette and style of my work,” says O’Callaghan.
Her exhibit at the Geary Gallery runs April 1 – 30 and her paintings are available for acquisition. All are welcome and admission is free.
