Geary Gallery presents “Spontaneous Expressions,” featuring the vibrant abstract and marine paintings of Patti Davis Ganek

The Geary Gallery of Darien proudly presents its November exhibit, “Spontaneous Expressions,” featuring the seascapes and abstract paintings of Stratford, CT artist, Patti Davis Ganek. Her exhibit will be on display November 2-30. The Geary Gallery is located at 576 Boston Post Road in Darien. All are welcome and admission is free.

About Patti Davis Ganek

Patti Davis Ganek has been painting professionally for over forty years. As a child, she always excelled in art and dreamt of having a career as an artist,

Ganek was strongly influenced by the abstract expressionists, as many of their paintings evoke a tremendous emotional response from her.

She explains, “I hope to do the same in my paintings through color, exciting, provocative line work, texture, and a strong composition. In my seascapes I try to capture the ocean in a spontaneous, heartfelt, expressive way…it’s a labor of love! I feel extremely grateful that I’m able to paint each and every day.”

Ganek’s work is in hundreds of corporate and private collections. She has exhibited at national juried exhibitions including American Watercolor Society – Salmagundi Club, NYC; American Water Color Society National Traveling Exhibition; National Society of Painters of Casein and Acrylics – The National Arts Club, NYC; Audubon Artists – The National Arts Club, NYC; Allied Artists of America – Salmagundi Club, NYC; American Artists Professional League – Salmagundi Club, NYC; Knickerbocker Artist – Salmagundi Club, NYC; Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club – The National Arts Club, NYC; Salmagundi Annual Non-members Show, as well as numerous state juried exhibits.

As Malcolm Preston of Newsday stated in a review of her work, “Patti Davis Ganek is one of the additions to the gallery’s roster who merits attention. Her work slips easily from realism to abstraction…There is an abiding softness and gentleness in these papers.”
