Matthew Broad grew up in Darien, CT and now resides in New Canaan, CT. Over the years he has pursed many different creative endeavors that include making tie-dye clothing and hand drums.
Matthew has settled on painting mandalas on the many different surfaces some of which are glass, rocks, canvas, and tiles of different sizes. Titles are his preferred medium. He uses a water based acrylic paint and paints the pieces “freehand,” which makes each piece unique. Each painting is made from the “creative flow of the universe” and he is truly “in the moment” when he is creating the mandalas.
Matthew uses the light shows of musical events as a great inspiration for his creativity.
