Rebecca J. Leer
Rebecca J. Leer earned a degree in Medical Illustration from Rochester Institute of Technology, combining her love of art and biology. She then furthered studies at the Art College of San Francisco and launched a career as an editorial illustrator. Her work can be seen in children’s books, magazines, the Franklin Institute Museum, and public and private collections. In 2001, happening into the Ridgewood Art Institute in Ridgewood, NJ, she saw the silvery north light studios and the paintings of Arthur Maynard and John Phillip Osborne, paintings using the prismatic palette developed by Frank Vincent DuMond.
