Ted Jeremenko

Ted lives on Long Island and shows his work on Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard, and throughout the country. His paintings of simple structures reflect an architect’s attention to form and detail. In 1962, he moved from Philadelphia to Manhattan to work for Citibank. The corporate environment stifled his creativity, and he lived for the weekends when he could get away to Long Island. Inspired, he put brush to canvas and continued to paint as a hobby throughout the 1970’s. Ted says he “places things where they are most pleasing.” Whether a boat or a building, the central object coexistsbharmoniously with its natural surroundings, yielding and overall sense of peace.
