Caroline O’Callaghan

“Art and design have been an inspiration throughout my life.” — Caroline O’Callaghan

Starting her career at House Beautiful magazine, Caroline O’Callaghan further expanded her design education working at a boutique Interior Design firm on Madison Avenue in New York City, while she took the opportunity to study colors and painting at New York School of Interior Design. Classes in studio art and art history have also spurred her interest in the world of art and painting. Caroline has worked extensively in both interior and architectural design. She is passionate about this form of spacial design, it resonates with her and has greatly influenced her painting style.

Caroline O’Callaghan paints with high end acrylics and acrylic color washes, on heavy weight cotton duck cloth, primed with acid-free titanium acrylic gesso. Her canvases are professionally stretched on 1.5″ kiln dried wood frames with stretcher bars for extra support. Most of her designs can be transferred to acrylic primed canvas sheets, as well as 140 lb cold press durable cotton paper, for framing.

Caroline O’Callaghan paintings can be found in galleries and design shops throughout New York and Connecticut. To customize color & size, her work can be commissioned.
